The action has no output. If the key already exists, its previous value is replaced. Project variables preserve supported WorkflowDog data types rather than reducing everything to plain text. Use Get Project Variable with the same key to load the value later.
Project variables are shared by all workflows in the project. Reusing a key intentionally overwrites its value for every workflow.
